DIY easy skin care regimen in winter

 

Now that the winter is all around the corner, our skin becomes the most considered part of our body. Temperature drops, skin becomes dry and undernourished. The essential regimen is supposed to follow to keep our skin hydrated. Simultaneously, skin care becomes a challenge as the season gets cooler. Here are some tips and DIY regimen to make our skin healthy and glowing.

Skin Cleansing

This is the first and foremost step to start with skin care. Our skin needs to get rid of the dirt and impurities, after an entire day of hectic work and pollution. Here’s a DIY natural face cleanser which you can prepare at home within a few seconds. When it comes to making a natural cleanser, a mixture of 1-2 tbsp raw milk and a pinch of salt does the right job.

Scrubbing and exfoliation

Scrubbing and skin exfoliation should be followed at least twice a week. Honey is the most effective ingredient in making our skin soft and supple. Mix 1 tsp of sugar with 2 tbsp of honey to make a good hydrating scrub. It removes the dead skin cells without making the skin dry. It also acts as a good moisturizer. This DIY scrub process serves both the requirements of exfoliating the skin and keeping It hydrated.

Apart from scrubbing our face, it can also be used in scrubbing lips also.

Tone down your skin

Toning is necessary because it maintains the PH balance of our skin. Use cucumber or a rose toner to get good results. It also keeps the skin fresh and glowing.

Essential oils

Usage of skin essential oils keeps the body relaxed. A wide range of essential oils can be used in our daily routine life. Lavender, rose, lemon, sandalwood, tea tree and chamomile skin essential oils are available that can be used in our moisturizer lotion to get the benefits. Skin essential oils provide best results when combined with a base night cream or moisturizer as they come in most saturated and pure form. Only 2-3 drops are enough to apply. It soothes and relaxes our skin, body, and mind.

 

                                      

Face masks

Homemade natural face masks are a great relief for a dry and chapped skin. There are varieties of face masks to indulge in. Avocado face mask, banana face mask, papaya face mask are the most preferred in winter. Mix mashed banana, papaya, and honey to keep the skin extremely soft and moisturized. Use few drops of almond oil before face pack application to get glowing skin. When you are too much busy and tired to use these masks, apply glycerin and rose water with a cotton ball. After 20 twenty minutes, wash your face and you will fall in love with your skin.

  • Always use a lip balm at night to keep your lips hydrated.
  • Never use matte lipsticks during winter. Always go for crème lipsticks, as it keeps chapped lips at bay.
  • Use a good body lotion of cocoa butter and almond milk.
  • Massage a good hair oil at night because hair fall and dandruff are the most common hair problems in winter.

Use a good night winter night cream to avoid premature aging and to keep an even skin tone.
